With 2016 almost in the books, I think it’s safe to say that it was one of the most unconventional years I have yet to experience. There were a lot of laughs, a lot of frustrations, and a lot of reminders.

This year we were reminded of how lucky we were to have lived during a time with so many influential artists, whose music does not know the bounds of time. With heavy hearts, we acknowledged the passing of so many icons, but we revel in their legacies.

They say that with every cloud there is a silver lining, and, this time, it was the chance to once again appreciate just how bright these stars shine. So, as we look forward to 2016, let us not forget to look back and learn from those who paved the way.

To these artists, and many more, thank you.
